2004 Annual Report
Leadership
Dear Friends: The AIDS Foundation of Chicago (AFC) dedicates this Annual Report to the thousands of men and women who advance the fight against HIV/AIDS through their daily work and advocacy. We rely on our partnerships with people with HIV/AIDS, service providers, government officials, healthcare workers, and advocates to help reduce new HIV infections and improve care services. In this report we profile members of AFC's staff and board with local leaders who help shape the region's response to the epidemic. Each portrait highlights an area of AFC's work in the community. Since 1985, AFC has served as a gathering place for individuals and institutions responding to the HIV/AIDS crisis. Thanks to these partnerships, our message of hope and action is gaining strength. In 2005, AFC marks 20 years in the fight against HIV/AIDS. While we are proud of our past accomplishments, we recognize that so much more still needs to be done. With the help of our key partners and supporters, we are working to expand and improve the system of HIV/AIDS services and increase advocacy and community awareness activities. Thank you for all you do to support, inspire, and advance our collective cause. Without you our work would not be possible. Sincerely,
