About AFC: Communications Internship The
AIDS Foundation of Chicago (AFC) is seeking a Reporting to the Communications Coordinator, it is anticipated that the Communications Intern will assist with the following tasks:
Qualifications: Qualified candidates must be able to devote at least six months, and a minimum of 15 hours per week, subject to staff needs and intern availability. The intern will be required to travel to the Loop for daily activities. Desired qualities include excellent writing and editing skills; strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and if possible, Quark XPress, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and Access; experience pitching stories to media; a firm grasp of current Internet research techniques. Must be organized, kind, funny, intelligent, laid-back and an all around wonderful person. Journalism, Communications, and English majors are encouraged to apply.
