February: National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness & Information Day.

May: National HIV Vaccine Awareness Day. You can play an important role in building awareness for HIV vaccine research, especially among communities most affected by HIV/AIDS.

May: National Asian and Pacific Islander (API) HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. This observance day intends to raise awareness among Asians and Pacific Islanders in the U.S. about the devastating impact of HIV/AIDS.

May: African American HIV/AIDS Awareness Walk. More than 5,000 people are expected to participate in the five-mile South Side event, which will stretch from Tuley Park at 90th and King Drive to Washington Park at 51st and King Drive, beginning at 11 a.m.

June: National HIV Testing Day. A national campaign coordinated by the National Association of People with AIDS, urges Americans to “take the test and take control.”

October: National Latino AIDS Awareness Day.

December: World AIDS Day. From 2005 to 2010, The World AIDS Campaign is calling on individuals and groups to support the theme “Stop AIDS. Keep the Promise.” aimed at governments and policy makers. The intention is to establish an international campaign to hold leaders accountable for their promises and commitments and take the action necessary to deliver on them.
