Forming a Corporate Team for AIDS Run & Walk Chicago gives your company the chance to support a life-saving cause while fostering internal camaraderie, encouraging leadership, and educating employees on every level. AFC is eager to help local corporations and community members live their truth, remove stigma around HIV, build relationships, and create memories that will last forever. This team option is right for you if your colleagues/affinity network/ERG want to engage in fun events supporting the LGBTQ+/BIPOC/HIV+ communities and practice both personal and corporate philanthropy.

When and where is AIDS Run/Walk Chicago 2024? 

AIDS Run/Walk Chicago will take place on Saturday September 28th at Soldier Field. 

  • 9:00 am — Registration and Packet Pickup begins 
  • 9:30 am — Opening Ceremonies begin  
  • 10:35 am — 5k/10k Run begins 
  • 10:50 am — 5k Walk & Roll begins

How do I create a corporate team? 

  1. Go to aidsrunwalk.org, click “Register” then “Create a Team” 
  2. From there you can set your team name, pick a fundraising goal, and choose Corporate as the team division. 
  3. Complete the rest of your personal registration. Once finished, you’ll be registered as the team captain! 

Why should my company participate? 

Participating in AIDS Run/Walk Chicago is a great way to engage the community, improve employee morale, boost your company’s brand awareness, and build a relationship with AFC. As the biggest gathering of HIV/AIDS advocates in the Midwest, AIDS Run/Walk is a fantastic opportunity to unite your employees in pursuit of a common goal outside of the office. In addition to helping end the HIV epidemic, companies who sponsor will receive recognition on the day of and leading up to the event. Additionally, if your company sponsors at certain levels, you will also have a dedicated tent in the Festival Area. 

How much does it cost? 

Creating a team is free, and individual registration prices vary based on how individuals would like to participate. Many corporate teams choose to pay for participant registrations using a promo code, so registration is free for employees. Teams can either purchase a set number of registrations in advance, or we can invoice you after the event based on how many people register. 

  • Stay-at-Home Supporter: $10 
  • 5k Walk & Roll: $30 
  • 5k & 10k Run: $40
